Welcome to verdict.fit. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our service. verdict.fit is operated by David Ramirez, based in Mexico (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

Because we serve users in the European Union, this policy is designed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

To provide our AI-powered fashion shopping assistant, we collect the following types of data:

Account Information: When you create an account via our email magic link, we collect your email address.
Profile Data: We collect your body measurements and size profile to tailor our fit analysis to you.
Service Data: We collect the clothing listing screenshots you upload and maintain a history of your AI-generated fit and pricing analyses.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

To create and manage your invite-only account.
To provide, operate, and maintain the verdict.fit service.
To generate AI-powered fit and pricing recommendations based on your size profile and uploaded screenshots.
To process payments and manage subscriptions (coming soon).
To communicate with you regarding your account, updates, and support.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under GDPR Article 6, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:

Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)): We process your email address, body measurements, and uploaded images because it is necessary to deliver the service you requested. Without this data, we cannot provide fit and pricing analysis.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): We process certain technical and usage data to maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the service, where doing so does not override your rights and freedoms.

4. Third-Party Processors

We rely on trusted third-party services to operate verdict.fit. These providers act as data processors and only handle your data as instructed by us:

Supabase: Used for secure user authentication (magic links), PostgreSQL database hosting (storing your size profile and analysis history), and Storage (hosting your uploaded screenshots).
Google (Gemini AI): Used to process your uploaded images and size data to generate the fit and pricing analysis. Data sent to this API is used strictly for generating your results and is not used to train their foundational models.
Vercel: Hosts our web application.
Stripe (coming soon): Will securely process your subscription billing and payments. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you choose to delete your account, your email, profile measurements, uploaded images, and analysis history will be permanently deleted from our active databases (Supabase), barring any legal obligations to retain certain billing records.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You can request the deletion of your personal data.
Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to suspend the processing of your data.
Right to Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
Right to Object: You can object to our processing of your personal data.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies strictly necessary to make our site work. Specifically, we use cookies managed by Supabase Auth to keep you securely logged into your account via magic links. We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies.
